In this episode I’m going to share five quick beauty tips to clearer more radiant skin.

Tip #1: Exfoliate for smaller-looking pores. This is one of the most common beauty complaints, a lot of you can relate. By exfoliating regularly we can get rid of the dirt, oil, dead skin cells that clog up our pores and live on the surface of skin. When we exfoliate, fresh new skin cells appear and this opens for moisturizing products to deeply penetrate into the skin. Leaving your skin looking healthy and fresh. Xtra Tip -Sun damage breaks down collagen, which can affect pore size as well.

Tip #2: Start using serum. This is something I didn’t start using until a year ago and I’ve found it’s made such a difference. Serums (either a water-based or oil-based moisturizer_ which you apply after your wash your face and it’s typically filled with highly active and concentrated ingredients that deeply goes into your skin. You apply this before your put your cream/lotion moisturizer and/or your SPF. You tend to only need a small amount daily to see results

Look for one with antioxidants, the skin’s major defense against free radicals and stress. I prefer to go for organic, non-toxic and all natural products such as Vinter’s Daughter – which was gifted to me by my friend Rebecca. This is a luxurious multi-correctional infusion of 22 of the world’s most active organic and wild crafted botanicals. As stated on their website. I’d love to hear what you’re using! So please share with me! These can add up, so it’s an investment. This serum has latest me for close to 5 months.

Tip #3: Clean your makeup brushes. It’s important that you clean your makeup brushes regularly as they harbor dirt and bacteria, which can lead to breakouts. Mix a couple of drops of gentle facial cleanser or shampoo and lukewarm water in a cup, swish your brushes around, rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry, and lay flat to air dry. By doing this you’re brushes will last longer and maintain soft and in good shape, plus it will continue its purpose of good makeup application. Xtra tip Wash loose powder brushes every two to three weeks and Foundation brushes once a week

Tip #4 Take off your makeup before bed. Leaving makeup and dirt on skin doesn’t just clog pores; it attracts the acne-causing bacteria to your pores and excessive dryness Here’s what we don’t’ want – eye irritation and infection, leaving your makeup on while you sleep can cause your skin to age more rapidly also can cause breakouts, dry skin and the list goes on. Make this part of your skincare self-care routine. This is your “me” time before you go to bed.

Tip #5: Sanitize your Smartphone. Our smartphones that we take with us everywhere – even to the toilent is more germ-infested than a toilet in a subway bathroom (according to a Stanford University study) All those germs land right on your cheek and jawline every time you chat away, causing pimples and irritation. So I’ve been going hands-free as much as I can and I’ve honestly seen a difference. One tip is that Antibacterial wipes and disinfectants are actually super abrasive and can damage or scratch your phone. What I’ve been doing is using my facial cleansers to wipe down my phone. It works for me!

There you have it! 5 beauty tips that you can apply to your routine that will hopefully lead you to cleaner, clearer and beautiful skin!
